Bank robbery suspects indicted Wednesday by Nelson County grand jury

Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019 — A Nelson County grand jury indicted two men on charges related to individual robberies of the WesBanco Bank branch at 315 North Third St. in November and December.
Kevin Mahana, 50, of Bardstown, was indicted Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, on a second-degree robbery charge for his alleged role in robbing the North Third Street bank branch on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
Ledrick Shontay Edwards, 39, of Bardstown, was also indicted Wednesday on a second-degree robbery charge for his alleged role in robbing the North Third Street bank branck on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018. The indictment cites his prior felony convictions as the basis for a persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $100,000 cash only, plus conditions.
